Cricket Green

Cricket Green is a spectacular live music, theatre, and dance show that seamlessly blends classical Indian and contemporary Western dance forms to tell the story of Team Earth and Team Climate in a surreal game of cricket.

Team Earth vs Team Climate

The climate emergency is a global issue with acutely local implications. Implications of responsibility, risk and impact. It is driven by humans digging up and burning fossil fuels - namely coal, oil and gas. It will be solved by humans acting with care, compassion, courage and hope. Cricket Green is fuelled by the urgent need to safeguard nature in this time of climate crisis, a new game between Team Climate and Team Earth.

Artistic growth comes from working out of one's comfort zone and we relish the challenge of bringing together the worlds of sport and environment through new conversations across the globe. Showing the importance and value of nature and our cherished bond with it, we’re exploring how we positively view the environment and how/why we celebrate and enjoy it to help emphasise its beauty with the unifying sport of cricket as the vehicle.
