Number Twenty
The story of a shop at the end of a row of shops – The story of Harry Redman’s fish ‘n’ chips – A poem, a dance and a film.
Written by Adam Strickson and brought to life in a collaboration Balbir Singh Dance Company, Number Twenty tells the history and the story behind an old ‘fish ‘n’ chip’ shop in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield. The film, shot and edited by Elia Tomé, sees dancer Sanchita Mazumdar interpreting a recital of the poem through a combination of Kathak dance and British Sign Language.
