Songpath Leeds 2024



In April 2024, Balbir Singh Dance Company had the pleasure of performing with Songpath for the Leeds Lieder Festival. Taking place in the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey, Balbir Singh Dance Company dancers, along with Indian Classical saxophonist Jesse Bannister and Songpath co-founders Jess Dandy and Joanna Harries, delivered a day of music, dance and creativity that celebrated our connection with nature, history and our own wellbeing.

Scouting the Abbey



In order to help plan the event, BSDC and Songpath co-founder Joanna took a trip to the site of Kirkstall Abbey to scout the location and discuss what type of activity could take place and how the events of the day might unfold.
