Bisakha Sarker
Dancer
Bisakha Sarker is a pioneering dancer, choreographer, and cultural facilitator whose work has shaped the landscape of South Asian dance in the UK. Founder of Chaturangan Dance Company, Bisakha’s work bridges cultures not through separation, but through shared human experiences. Her practice has evolved through community engagement, education, and inclusive work with disabled and visually impaired audiences. Bisakha believes that “dancers speak in their own way, with their own kind of intelligence,” and through this language, she continues to explore, inspire, and shape new traditions with every step.
