Jesse Bannister

Musician

Jesse Bannister is a world-renowned saxophonist, composer, and educator whose music reflects a rich, multicultural heritage. Trained in Hindustani classical music under Dharambir Singh and vocal legends Pandits Rajan & Sajan Mishra, Jesse has developed a distinctive Indo-jazz style, adapting the intricacies of raga to the saxophone with exceptional nuance. He has composed for the Hallé and Liverpool Philharmonic orchestras, created the Groove India app, and leads the IMOWI (Indian Music on Western Instruments) course at Leeds Conservatoire. Through performance, composition, and education, Jesse continues to bridge cultures and create innovative, genre-defying music.
